Those who know me, whether from my personal wordpress.com blog, or my websites, I’m quite a nerd. I’m running multiple online stores at the moment, with expansion plans just waiting to be put into reality.
I’ve been into web design and development for the past 5 years, starting off shortly after finishing school. Over the years I was responsible for the creation of many websites – from simple templates to be used by content management systems right up to a fully functional e-commerce website which I coded from scratch and operated during my time in India.
Now though I’ve been operating according to the philosophy ; why reinvent the wheel when there are perfectly good ones already available. Especially if they’re free! So I’ve started using Open Source PHP based scripts to create my websites.
At the moment the following projects are either On-Line or nearing completion:
1. Alter Ego UK – My first online shop after moving to the UK.
E-commerce website selling adult oriented novelty items, toys and intimate fashion. Operational since September 2008, recently undergone a full redesign making the layout not only more attractive but also easier to navigate for customers!
2. AE Lingerie – The second installment of my Alter Ego shopping empire!
Launched only a few months ago, but already a popular one stop shop for many things a woman desires. AE Lingerie sells – as the name suggests – Lingerie, but also Club Wear. There is also a nice selection of Bikini’s and other swim wear by Roma, Skinny Dip & Nicolita. Brands include: Leg Avenue, JValentine, Roma of Hollywood, Caprice, Obsession Lingerie, 2 Belles NY and more!
3. AE Fancy Dress – Fancy Dress Costumes for Men & Women
Brand new and fresh off the press! Fancy Dress costumes were amongst our best sellers on AE Lingerie, so now there’s a separate website just for them. The range has expanded to include more accessories, ladies costumes, and gents costumes than before. So bookmark it and have a look through before Halloween or any Fancy Dress party you need an outfit for. Brands include Roma of Hollywood, Leg Avenue, Elegant Moments and JValentine.
4. blog.AlterEgoUK.com – One site for toys, one site for lingerie, one for costumes, and one blog to tie them together!
In order to promote my AE UK brand, I have started a blog to notify customers of all of my websites of new developments, give extra product information or reviews and articles. All my websites contain articles and product information, the blog just serves as a portal to show all the available resources in one place.
